Put me anywhere on the map I bet I bust.
I warn your beforehand that this I'm gonna be sharing something personal in this post,
MY CAREER DREAMS
Written according to chronology.
1. Artist
When I was small, I always wanted to draw like my cousin did.
Even if he's only 3 years older than me, he draws amazing.
He could use a few simply colours and make an amazing piece of art.
Although my drawings always turn out crappy, I always enjoyed colouring and sketching stuff. :)
I enjoyed watching Art Attack and learning how to make stuff from him. :D
2. Owner of a company
In my house, we have a rather large place in the house which is used for storing stuff from the sawmill. (My grandfather owned a sawmill and brought back tables and stuff he made, or something.)
I thought of the idea of making something like a company.
It was named KIDS WORLD.
I made the logo and stuff too. xD I wish I still had them.
I stuck it on the door leading to our office. :D
I remember that the word KIDS had four different colours. It was pretty cool back then.
Ben, Penny and I were the owners of the company.
We took turns playing the role of "boss".
I even remember giving them RM5 once as their pay. xD
I once decided to hold a chirstmas concert with dancing and decorations and shit in our office.
My colleagues did not cooperate with me and it didn't work out. :P
3. Scientist
It was something about the experiments I see on TV.
I always want to try them out.
I even tried to fry an egg on the manwhole cover at the back of my house to see if it would cook. It didn't.
I remember asking my dad for those huge batteries that were about 5V or something to do electrical stuff.
I would steal the tiny bulbs from the dashboards that my dad removed from cars he fixed.
I also asked Ben for computer fans that he took out from computers to make my own fan system.
Haha. I'm so technical.
Also, I always made balloons expand by using baking soda and water. :D
4. Chef
I started learning to cook on my own when I was about 11.
From the basic fried egg to fried noodles, I felt pretty comfortable with it.
I've cooked whole meals before for my family when my Grandma is away in Australia.
I enjoy the process of cooking from start to end. Of course, the end is the best, 'cause it's the part where you get to eat your own creation. :D
Sometimes I dream of being the Asian Jamie Oliver, but not for the fame, for his food revolutions.
But now I don't cook as much, I get lazy at the thought of cooking at the hot stove in this hot weather.
5. Writer
As you know, I write stories and poems and other crap like that.
While I might say that my grammar is pretty good, my vocabulary is crap.
I want to publish a book one day, and I will.
I wouldn't want to be the next JK Rowling, or any famous authors.
I write to satisfy myself and to unleash my fantasies and thoughts in words.
---
Now, in the present, I have no more of these dreams.
I feel naive, looking back at what I thought I could acheive.
I have non of the potential anyone of those dreams need to suceed.
I understand that my future is in my hand and I can become what I want to be.
But at this hour, minute and second, I feel vulnerable to the temptations out there and I feel that even the simplest dreams cannot be fulfilled.
That's why, I have chosen something common, and simple like Accounting.
Even if it sucks and it bores me to death.
At least I know that I have a higher chance of it being my career.
PS: This wasn't meant to be an emo post, it just turned out that way. :/
