11th April 2009 - David Archuleta's Showcase
Woke up at 7am. Felt a very bad sore throat coming on so I grabbed a few (lot) of lozenges and shoved them in my mouth, along with water of course. Soon after, my phone rang. WilSon was calling me. He asked about his transportation there. I texted Natasha the night before asking if she could fetch him there as well, she replied no as she is already picking up 4 people. So i texted Minn and asked if her dad could drive so that we could take 2 cars there thus WilSon can go with us. She said yes and everything went fine from there. I reached Yvonne's house at 8.30am because the both of us were afraid of going to Minn's house alone. Eheh.. Minn and Ninn greeted us with David Archuleta t-shirts they made. (UGH!) WilSon was already there grumbling about how early he reached there. :P At 9am, Rach arrived and we took off.
Car 1 - Minn's Mum, Ninn, Olivia (Their cousin), Yvonne, and me.
Car 2 - Minn's Dad, Minn, Rach, WilSon.
When we reached the Elephant Walk parking lot at 9.30am, there were already people queing up. They had put newspaper on the floor and were sitting down singing Crush. xD
Later, Yvonne got thirsty and we, (Yvonne, Rach, WilSon and me - to make it easier, I shall call us the Wonder 4) walked to Sunway Medical Centre to seek treatment from the air-con and Starbucks.
We entered the Amphitheater at 1pm. We bought drinks which costs twice as much as the normal prices you see outside. We also got those cool DiGi balloon thingys which you need to blow and you hit them together to produce like a clapping sound sort of sound.. idk! They were yellow, thats all you need to know.
At 3.30pm, they started asking us to sing along to David's songs. It was really really fun but the crowd was getting restless. At 4pm, Jj and Ean, who were the MC for the event, came out and asked a question, gave a goodie bag and introduced Hao Ren. His dancing isnt bad, but singing isnt something he should be famous for. He sang two songs, and Jj and Ean came out, did the same thing and introduced some guy i forgot. He sang two songs as well. Jj and Ean came out, did the same thing, and introduced Daniel.
He sang two songs as well, he also sang Mimpi. Yvonne and I knew the lyrics so we actually sang along. The funniest part was when Daniel said ''David? No, Daniel here.''
Finally, the moment everyone was wating for. David came out clad in a long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up a little. He looked amazing. He started off by singing A Little Too Not Over You (ALTNOY) followed by Touch My Hand, Don't Let Go and finally Crush. He went off stage and Jj and Ean came up. They asked if we had enough and we were like "NO!!"
David came back on and he sang A Thousand Miles and Angels while playing on the piano.
The whole performance was so mesmerizing. Too bad we didnt stay long enough to get our picture taken with him. Sigh.

We got caught in the heavy rain after. Which is one of the reasons why i'm sick and still sick.
This has got to be my longest blog entry yet. Period.
