As of today, it has been 84 days since I've stepped into the gates of SMK PBP (1).
This evening, when my dad was picking my brother up from school before dropping me off for piano class, I took a good look at my former school.
As I stared out the car window on the way to the school, I saw students from the school walking into the small path leading to the apartments, which will lead to rows of shops and a bus stop. At that moment, I instantly remembered the day we slithered out of school.
I was in Form 3. It was when the Form 5 students were having their SPM examination. We were bored of playing UNO and board games in the canteen, so we decided to go out for an early lunch. Going out wasn't a problem. I have no idea why, but the guards did not seem to mind us going out the main gates of the school.
We walked down the slope from the school and through the path and past the apartments. We enjoyed a meal at the Mamak restaurant there and went back to school after.
A smile lit up my face when I remembered that joyous moment. And I thought that all my memories from high school were unhappy ones.
Honestly, I miss the trips to the shops when I was still in the afternoon session, especially the ones on Fridays. I even remember going to Giant before class. When I started going to school during the morning session, the trips were usually longer and more exciting.
However, that was back when I had friends.
