Twitter, tweeps, and updates.

I haven't blogged in quite a while, my writing skills may have been affected, so don't judge the post you're about to read.

I joined Twitter on the 28th of March 2009. As of now, I have 12,836 tweets, which is not many compared to others who joined later than I did. I currently have 103 followers, and am following 165.

Among the 165 are my friends, my idols, people who post quotes, and even local politicians, which I don't know why I follow, considering the fact that I have no nuts about local politics.

A notable tweep (a person who tweets, aka tweeter) I'd like to mention is Kam Raslan. To those who don't know who he is, "He's a writer and director, working in film, TV and theater in Malaysia." .

I got to know about him when I bought his book Confessions of an Old Boy a few years ago. The book was amusing, funny, and ironic in some ways or another. Just last year, when my mum brought back the Options pullout from The Edge, I noticed his column. I've been reading it ever since.

Last week, after I followed him on Twitter, he followed me back. I WAS SO HAPPY I COULDN'T BREATHE. He replied my tweet and I almost fainted.

I shall be more careful of what I tweet now, because someone famous is now watching my timeline. D;

I salute you, Mr- I - don't - have - a - degree.

Anyway, enough of the guy. Twitter is where you're allowed to say whatever you want with little or no restriction. However, there are still some areas of certain topics where you should draw the line. A very thick line, actually.  Here's some examples.

1. Racism
 Nobody wants to hear you bash other people of another colour. Unless they're from the ISA.

2. Bodily functions
I don't think I want to know that your uterus is on fire or that your friend has just clocked in their monthly visiting hours.

3. Retweets and retweets and retweets!
PLEASE STOP RETWEETING ABOUT KPOP AND JPOP AND MPOP OR WHATEVER POP YOU'RE INTO RIGHT NOW OVER AND OVER AGAIN. NOT EVEN SPRITZER POP! Ahem, once is fine, thank you very much. Try not to flood your followers' timeline or they'll regret following you.

I can't think of anything else without thinking about what I've tweeted in the past. Heh. So I guess this is all. Bottom line is, FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER.
